Earlier this month, Cape Fear Makers Guild had the distinct pleasure of receiving a visit from Joel Leonard, a leading international advocate and advisor for Makerspaces. Joel is extremely well known in the regional Makerspace community. It is safe to say that I have yet to have a conversation with anyone that’s heavily involved with Makerspaces in North Carolina without Joel’s name coming up. Joel was kind enough to join us for dinner, visit our humble Makerspace, attend our August BOD meeting and chat with us for hours about the business of Makerspaces.
